Recommitting.

I am sorry that I haven't posted much, or even drawn much lately. I haven't been feeling too good and my hands hurt a bit, but I really want to keep this going because a bright picture makes my days brighter too :) So more to come! really!

The Duck Pond

Photography

My family lives about a 5 minute walk away from a duck pond, and there are now baby geese living there. They get fed several times a day and thus aren't scared of people as long as they are holding some type of bread. They posed nicely for me ;)

Week 12: Ballet studio

This was a commissioned piece, a lady wanted this made as a present for her daughter's ballet teacher. She sent me a picture of the dance recital costume the class wore, and then said I could paint it however I wanted. This was a really fun piece!

Week 12: Grandma

Soft Pastel on textured paper, 20x21 in.
Pencil on paper, 8 x 10 inches.

I have missed several weeks so week 12 is relative ;), but this is a picture that was taken when my grandma came to visit when we were really young. Grandma was in the car and my sister lindsay ran up for one last hug before she drove away. I don't remember my grandmother very well because she passed away when I was 4 years old, but this picture captures how much she loved her grandchildren ;)The pastel drawing was done several years ago, the drawing was done recently.

Coloring.

Prisma color pencil on paper.

I usually have a hard time drawing or painting without having something directly to look at, but my family watched a movie the other night and I was too lazy to set up anything realistic.I felt like I was 15 years younger as I colored these. :)

more catch up

These are more commissioned portraits, I've forgotten to take pictures of a few others before mailing them, but I really am loving this :) (and I have never drawn freckles before, I am now a huge fan of kids with freckles.)

catch up

This was a big project that kept me busy for a while, especially since watercolor portraits is not my best area ;) A lady wanted these done, and I learned a lot from it!
