I've been sick and haven't been drawing for a while but this was a fun one I've wanted to do for a long time :) I took this picture while my family was visiting Spain years ago but I couldn't decide if I wanted to draw, oil paint, or watercolor it. Instead I scanned my mom's scrapbook paper collection and used Photoshop to fill in a line drawing.

Week 7: California in the Spring

All the trees are starting to turn green, pink, purple, and white. I love it!! This is an interesting way to show a place, but my place for the week is northern california, and the blossoms on these trees show that spring is here :)

More of the flowers. It is fun to use those watercolor textures I made a few weeks ago, and I am discovering how amazing technology is when it comes to making certain types of art. Again the beautiful floral photography was done by Cate Sheffer. (Check out her other floral shots here!)She is my hero.
