Paint over the collage, cover with Mod-podge. These were done for my sister Tori, if anyone ever reminded me of a bright sunflower, its her. ;)

Sunflowers, Step 1

Collage on canvas 16x20 inches

This step is really fun, sort through paper and rip it up, design, then glue it in place. I've done this with the "Lilies" paintings, and the "Vacation" paintings but I've never shown what it looks like at this stage.

Consider the lilies

I have wanted to do a picture of lilies for a long time. I love the verses in Matthew 6:28-30, and lilies are beautiful! I particularly like waterlilies because they are in such a harsh environment for a flower, but they somehow manage to stay afloat ;)

These paintings were done with a collage of scrapbook paper, and then I painted over it with acrylic. I love doing these kind of paintings!!

Week 1: Vacation

These paintings actually started out as a joke and were really fun! I was with my sister and we found a lot of my mom's scrapbook paper and I glued it to the canvas, and then decided to try painting over it. The paper adds a fun texture ;)
